Blogger recently added a new feature to the design section, called as "Add Favicon". This feature will let you to add a Favicon to your blog. A favicon or icon, is a Web site icon or URL icon, or bookmarks icon, which is a file containing one or more small icons, most commonly 16×16 pixels, associated with a particular Web site or Web page. Just like you can see in the Tab above. For more information on favicons, here is a link to the wikipedia page on Favicons.

Prior to this feature, if you wanted to add a favicon to your blog, to would need to Edit HTML and link your icon file like below:
<link href='http://****.com/favicon.ico' rel='shortcut icon'/>
<link href='http://****.com/favicon.ico' rel='icon'/>
**** is the hosting site where your favicon file needs to be hosted.

We tried this new feature on our blog, but unfortunately I think that the feature is currently not working with custom blogger domains. But if you are on a blogspot URL, the feature seems to be working perfectly fine.

Just sign in to your blogger account, go to Design > Page Elements tab and click Edit on the new “Favicon” setting above the navbar element:

Click on Save and view your blog.

Hope, Blogger will fix this feature soon for custom blogger domains. If you are on custom blogger domain [www.****.com], then you can add the favicon by editing your HTML as shown above.
